THE COSMIC ORDER

Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

This is not a summary or title for the creation week, but a simple narrative statement.  God created everything from nothing, and the heavens include all of the universe. The earth is here at the beginning because it is the center of God’s plans.  The heavens and the earth were perfect and complete. The Hebrew word for create, ‘bara’ H1254, refers only to a way God can create: out of nothing, complete, and perfect.

Genesis 1:2 “Now the earth became formless and void.”

This is the correct rendering of this verse.  There is a vav disjunctive here (ve ha aretz), changing the meaning from, ‘And’ the earth, to ‘Now’ the earth.  We also see the word, ‘was’ (hayetav), which can be translated ‘became’. What ‘became’ of the perfect earth was turned into chaos, ‘tohu va vohu’, formless and void.  Something good became evil and required Divine judgment. This is the fall of Satan, so the perfect earth became disorderly, ‘tohu va vohu’, waste and void. These two words used together always means Divine judgment, a negative.  Genesis 1:1 was a perfect creation.  The first verse in the Bible does not mean God created chaos and emptiness.  With Genesis 1:2, an event happened to make the perfect world into something formless and empty.

Isaiah 45:18  “God himself that formed the earth.. he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD.”

But this ‘Gap’ is not ‘dinosaur time’, or billions of years of geologic history. There is no death before man’s sin.  This is only the judgment of the fall of Satan, changing the beautiful earth that was once a mineral garden to one covered in the ‘deep’, great salty waters that blacked out the ‘stones of fire’.

Ezekiel 28:13-14 “Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, … the diamond, the sapphire, the emerald … thou has walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.”

We then see the re-creation of the world in both material and Spiritual form.

Genesis 1:3-4 “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”

This is the beginning of the seven days of re-creation, where the end of the week is a Man and a Woman, who will be the new rulers of the earth.

On day four we have the creation of the sun, moon, and stars.

Genesis 1:14-19  “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven…for signs, seasons, days and years…to give light upon the earth…the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.”

The creation begins with the earth, and then moves outward to the solar system and then to the stars.  All of these celestial objects are for the earth, for Mankind, to give them light and to tell time.  The time is for the signaling of the Lord’s feasts and the First and Second coming of the Creator Himself, Jesus the Messiah.  Our Savior is also our creator.

John 1:1-4  “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... All things were made by him...In him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

The sun, moon, and stars were created in a two-step process.

The earth was already present, so the astronomical bodies were made to give light on the earth.

First, the greater and lesser lights, the sun and moon, were formed along with the solar system.  God made a protective shield around the earth and planets formed by the Sun: the Heliosphere. This gaseous plasma from the Sun protects the Solar System from the harmful cosmic rays of nearby stars and supernovas.

Psalm 84:11  “For the LORD God is a sun and shield.”

The Voyager 2 spacecraft passed the Heliopause boundary of the Heliosphere, 11 billion miles from earth, on November 5, 2018.

Second, God made ‘the stars also’.  They were formed out of cold molecular clouds of dust and ice at the edge of the Heliosphere, less than one light-day distance. This was about 16 billion miles, so the light of the stars could reach the earth in only one day.  The relationship between the cold ice of the deep and the creation of the stars is found in the Bible.  The same word in the original Hebrew, ‘yatzar’, Strongs H3318, is used to describe the source of the very cold ice and the formation of the stars.

Job 38:29-32  “Out of whose womb ‘came’ (yatzar) the ice? ... The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.  Canst thou bind the influences of the Pleiades… or Orion?  Canst thou ‘bring forth’ (yatzar) the twelve constellations in his season?”

Current astronomical theory suggests stars do form from the gas (H2) and dust (Silica) of very cold Giant Molecular Clouds (GMC).

The ice at the edge of the Solar System is not 32 degrees Fahrenheit, but the very cold Hydrogen Ice, at minus 450 degrees Fahrenheit, 6 degrees Kelvin.

We know the universe is expanding, and the Bible confirms in Isaiah 45:12 that God “stretched out the heavens”. The space between the stars and galaxies expanded until it reached the point described in Psalm 19:1: “The Heavens declare the glory of God.”  Space itself can expand faster than light, so the universe was filled with galaxies to 13.7 billion light years in radius. Due to the ‘Time Dilation’ of Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity, the earth experienced only seven days during the creation week, while the universe aged 13.7 billion years.  The large mass of star formation caused the slowing of time on earth to only seven 24-hour days.

The very cold 6-degree Kelvin Hydrogen ice which God used to form the stars, is the true source of the 3-degree Kelvin Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMBR), that fills all of space.  The Heliopause boundary was a near-perfect sphere before the Interstellar Medium (ISM) was formed.

There never was a ‘Big Bang‘: very hot, very long ago, very far away, impersonal.

The stars were created:

1.  Close: Less than 16 billion miles away, One light-day distance

2.  Cold: From Hydrogen Gas and Silica dust, molecular clouds at 6 degrees Kelvin

3.  Recent: About 6,000 years ago, according to Biblical genealogies Luke 3:23-38

4.  Personal: God knows the number of stars, calls them all by name  Psalm 147:4

The Creation is neither observable nor repeatable, only God was there to tell us how it happened in the Bible.

The Seven Day Creation week consisted of 24-hour days. Whenever the Bible says evening and morning, and gives the days in numerical order, this is always a 24-hour day. Since the mention of days and years occurs on the fourth day, the regular pattern of reckoning time is from the very first week. This is the time period that relates to man on this earth.  Here is the center of God’s plan, where He visited 2,000 years ago, and will return in the person of Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah.  Where God Almighty, the Creator, sets up His ‘House’, His Temple, and resides there, this becomes the most important place in the Universe.  The Temple will be on a mountain in the land of Israel, where God will dwell for a thousand Years.  God connects the scientific laws that hold the universe in place, with the existence of Israel.

Jeremiah 31:35-36  “Thus says the LORD, which gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night…if those ordinances depart from before me, then the seed of Israel shall cease from being a nation before me forever.”

God guarantees the existence of Israel, the people, and the land, where God the creator will set up His House.  The power of the creator ties Israel to the power of the sun, moon, and stars.

Isaiah 6:3 “Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”

This little earth, the ‘pale blue dot’, will shine with God’s glory to be known throughout the Universe.  Jesus, the Creator, who came as a child, will rule the Universe as King of kings and Lord of lords.

The Seven Days of Creation correspond to the Seven Feasts of the Lord.  While God was building the material universe, He was at the same time preparing his Spiritual world for the Salvation of Mankind.  We read in Revelation 13:8, “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world”.  The Seven Days of Creation are connected with the Seven Feasts of the Lord in Leviticus 23 and in the Ten Commandments.

We find in Leviticus 23, before the only complete sequential list of the Seven Feasts, the mention of the Seven Days of Creation.  “Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation”.  Leviticus 23:3

Then God explains the Passover to the Feast of Tabernacles.  The third feast, the Feast of Firstfruits, parallels the Third Day of creation with Fruit Trees, and the Resurrection of Jesus, the Firstfruit of those who will rise from the dead.

In the Ten Commandments, Exodus 20:8-11, we are told to remember,’zachor’, the Sabbath because God made the heavens and earth in six days and then rested. The second reference, Deuteronomy 5:12-15, we are commanded to observe, ‘shamor’, the Sabbath, for God created in six days and delivered us from Egypt with a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm, setting the stage for the Passover and the Seven Feasts.  We remember the past creation, but we observe the yearly Feasts.  The Sabbath day links the Seven Day Creation Week with the Seven Feasts of the Lord.  These Seven Feasts tell the complete story of God’s plan of redemption of the Messiah: from Crucifixion to ruling as King of kings.

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Hebrews 11:3.

The Seven Day creation week summarizes the Spiritual History of Jesus, the Jewish People, and our own Spiritual life: from accepting the crucifixion for our sins to dwelling with God as one of His family at the Feast of Tabernacles in the Millennium kingdom of Jesus.

At the end of the Creation week, God saw that it was all very good. Even though Satan was lurking in the Garden of Eden, God saw the end from the beginning.  Jesus was crucified before the foundation of the world, therefore the plan of salvation was already in place before the creation itself.  God would save His people, and bring them into an Eternal Paradise in the New Heavens and the New Earth.  The wonderful mineral garden would be restored in the streets of gold and twelve jeweled foundations of the New Earth.  There the Living waters would be restored and Trees for the healing of the nations.  The Bride and Bridegroom would live forever in Paradise, walking in the presence of the Light of God. This is the description of the New Heavens and the New Earth in Revelation 21 and 22.

The Bible is the Creator communicating with Mankind, the most important part of His creation.  This is obvious in that He became one of us in the form of a man, Jesus the Messiah, to literally walk in our ‘sandals’ only on this Earth. The Bible covers the history from the creation until the New Heavens and the New Earth.  God is real, the Bible is true, and God cares for us from the farthest reaches of space to our innermost thoughts.

Zechariah 12:1  “The word of the LORD for Israel, says the LORD, which stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.”

God is speaking to the heavens, to the earth, and to the heart of every man and woman on this earth.

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This is about your own personal eternity, please accept God’s offer of eternal life.
